J-DAY IS ON

Despite fears that the annual cannabis festival would have to be cancelled
because the local council wanted to impose a 800% increase in the licensing
fee [£24,000] for the use of the park - Negotiations have resulted in the
council accepting this was a community event [not commercial] and settling
on a smaller amount.

Date: SATURDAY MAY 3, 2003.

VENUE: BROCKWELL PARK, BRIXTON

ASSEMBLY: [Noon] in Kennington Park - opposite Oval Tube Station followed by
a carnival style stroll/parade through Brixton High Street to Brockwell
Park.

FESTIVAL: 13 - 00 to 20 - 00
