Alston woman Lezley Gibson, who has campaigned for the drug to be used to
alleviate the suffering of multiple sclerosis sufferers, is standing in
Carlisle.

In 2001 a crown court jury in Carlisle cleared her of possessing the drug
after hearing how she used it to ease her multiple sclerosis.

Her husband Mark will stand in Penrith and the Border and 37-year-old John
Peacock from Silloth will stand for the party in Workington.
