Former Henllan resident Jeff Ditchfield has been unveiled as The Legalise=20 Cannabis Alliance=B4s prospective candidate for the Vale of Clwyd. Mr Ditchfield will be familiar to readers as the man who wanted to open a=20 Dutch-style cannabis caf=E9 in the region. The campaigner, who went on to open a shop in Rhyl called It Beggar=92s=20 Belief, was found not guilty of supplying cannabis at Chester Crown Court=20 in 2004. l If you=B4re not already on the electoral register to be able to vote it is= =20 now too late to be able to register to vote in the forthcoming election.=20 The deadline for registration was March 11 as we announced in a press=20 notice on February 22. If you have recently moved house within the county or will be moving=20 between now and the election and you did not inform us of the change of=20 address before 11 March, you could still be registered at your original=20 address. In this case, you will be able to vote but only in the area of your=20 original address. For example, if you have moved from a house in Rhyl to=20 live in Ruthin, you may find that you will be eligible to vote in Rhyl=20 (Vale of Clwyd constituency) rather than Ruthin (Clwyd West constituency). You can have your poll card sent to your new address, and you can either=20 vote by post or travel back to your old home area polling station. Anyone can choose to vote by post, whatever the reason. If you have not=20 already registered for a postal vote, you must apply before 5 pm on=20 Thursday, April 26, 2005.
