U.K:CANNABIS GROWING SKILLS 'HAD GONE TO POT' News This Is Lincolnshire Saturday 21 Jun 2008 Scott Blakey (25) was working away from home in February when his landlord called at his flat and could hear water running inside. He let himself in with the spare key and discovered eight cannabis plants with a hose set up to water them, Lincoln Magistrates' Court heard. Blakey, of Vernon Street, Lincoln, pleaded guilty to a charge of producing the class C drug yesterday. In mitigation, Rachel Taylor, told the court that Blakey's attempt at growing cannabis was poor. "It was not a professional attempt," she said. "Only one plant was growing and the rest were dead. "He obviously did not read a book or anything and it was just a case of putting some seeds in a pot. "The landlord is still letting him live in the property. "He has no previous convictions and said he would never try anything like this again." Blakey was fined £200 plus £60 costs and the £15 Government surcharge. http://www.thisislincolnshire.co.uk/displayNode.jsp?
