Blackpool Gazette

Monday 22 Sep 2008

A TYRE company worker used cannabis to ease the pain of a serious leg injury.
Nathan Snelson, 30, of Portree Road, Bispham, admitted possessing Class C drugs.

Martine Connah, prosecuting, said the defendant was searched by police and a small piece of cannabis was found in his possession.

Howard Green, defending, said: “He used cannabis as a painkiller. He had a serious leg injury and was registered as disabled. He now manages to work.”

Snelson was fined £130 and ordered to pay a £15 victims’ charge by Blackpool magistrates.
