Coakers Cannabis Poll
Canna Zine Wednesday 08 Oct 2008 Mr Coaker, who was today announced as the new Minister for Policing, was one of the first government ministers to admit using cannabis himself. This was just prior to Gordon Brown taking over at number 10 Downing Street, but in hindsight it appears the die was cast, as a raft of politicians from all sides of the house rushed forward to empty their wardrobes of any skeletons which could rattle someones General Election hopes away. Of course the General Election was side-stepped, but by the time the great non-event err..never happened, cannabis reclassification was already a done deal. The only people who didn't know it yet, were the governments own advisors. In the meantime Mr Coakers career seems to be going from strength to strength as he makes his way slowly but surely through Whitehall's corridors of power and indeed, it seems from the day Mr Coaker made his cannabis announcement he, with Gordon Brown's backing, was destined for greatness. Of course that's all gone by the by in light of the fact Mr Coaker is following behind the most unpopular Prime Minister..ever! Which means Vernon Coakers chances of making it to a top job are..minimal, unless he's planning on hanging around for a decade of opposition. But lets face it..this is all superfluous to the main plot. On Mr Coakers website, he is asking we the public, for our opinion on whether or not cannabis should be reclassified, and, like the majority of advice given in the run up to the announcement regarding reclassification, 75% of respondents on Mr Coakers website answered "No, they don't agree with the reclassification of cannabis" and I will look forward to Mr Coaker publishing the final results. In the best traditions of fair play we believe everyone should have an opportunity to give their opinion on what is after all, a hugely important issue for Great Britain as a nation. Whilst the national press may not be keen to give any column inch's to the greater cannabis debate, Mr Coaker, to his credit, wants your opinion. So please, visit Mr Coakers website, and give it. It matters not whether you vote "Yes" or "No". Just that you vote, one way or another. http://pr.cannazine.co.uk/content/view/712/27/
