Letter: No 'factory' in cannabis growth P J McNeill Yorkshire Evening Post Wednesday 08 Oct 2008 Cannabis is a plant, not a manufactured product: it is its own factory. You grow it, you dry it, you smoke it. Tesco don't buy their cabbages from a cabbage factory, do they? I feel that this misnomer is deliberately used by some sections of the media to con the public into thinking of cannabis in the same terms as dangerous, processed 'class A' drugs such as heroin and crack cocaine; the rest just unconsciously absorb it into their vocabulary, and numbly churn it out in every cannabis case write-up.
