FIVE people have been arrested on suspicion of drug offences after a series of raids in Lancing and Worthing.
More than 50 officers were involved in the raids, targeting the fortified alleged cannabis café in Freshbrook Road, Lancing, along with three properties in Worthing, yesterday (Wednesday, October 22).

A 43-year-old man from Lancing; a 32-year-old man, 39-year-old man and 19-year-old man from Worthing, and a 39-year-old man from Brighton were arrested on suspicion of supplying cannabis, and taking into custody and released on police bail until Saturday, October 26.

Inspector Jason Wilson, from Shoreham, led the operation.

He said: "This crackdown is on-going and we will continue to focus our efforts on those who think they can get away with committing drug-related crime.

"Our message to those offenders is simple – we will find out who you are and we will arrest you."
