Cannabis 'may reduce memory loss'

Marijuana may reduce memory loss and a 'non-intoxicating' version could be used to treat Alzheimer's.

Any such drug would resemble tetrahydrocannabinol, or THC, the main psychoactive substance in cannabis.

THC can be good for the ageing brain by reducing inflammation and possibly stimulating the formation of new brain cells, research at Ohio State University found.
