Switzerland: Valais court rejects Rappaz appeal

The Valais cantonal court has rejected Bernard Rappaz’s appeal for his prison sentence to be ended.

The convicted marijuana grower is in the 78th day of a hunger strike.

The court said that is not a sufficiently serious reason to pardon him, adding that the doctors should force-feed Rappaz.

Rappaz is currently at Geneva University Hospital where doctors have refused to force-feed him.
