UK: Arrests after 20,000 pounds worth of cannabis found in car

Two men have been arrested after £20,000 worth of cannabis resin was found in a car on Teesside following a routine stop check [29 March 2011]

20 bars of suspected cannabis resin and £3,500 in cash was recovered from a silver Vauxhall that was stopped at around 2050 GMT on Thursday 24 March.

Two men, aged 35 and 38 from the Hartlepool area, were arrested on suspicion of possession of Class A and Class B drugs with intent to supply.

The two males have been bailed pending further enquiries.

Detective Inspector John Ward said: "This is another example of how officers are working to remove drugs from the streets of Cleveland"
