Four men are being questioned following a seizure of cannabis resin in Finglas in Dublin.

Gardaí believe two of the men in custody are members of a Finglas criminal gang, while a third man, who is from the UK, was arrested during the drugs handover.

The arrests are a result of a joint operation between the Garda National Drugs Unit and the PSNI.

Gardaí believe that the drugs were sourced through Northern Ireland.

Two vans have also been seized one in Dublin and one in Northern Ireland.

Gardaí discovered around 70 kilos of cannabis resin with an estimated street value of €420,000 in one vehicle.

Four men were arrested and are being detained under Section 2 of the Drug Trafficking Act.

Two men, aged 27 and 29, are being detained in Finglas garda station and two men, aged 31 and 43, are being detained in Ballymun garda stations.

The men can be questioned for up to a week.
