US: Modesto rejects marijuana shop
The Modesto Bee Wednesday 13 Apr 2011 At a City Council meeting in February, center director Mark Gray offered the city 5 percent of the revenue, or an estimated $440,000 a year, from the sale of medical cannabis to patients with prescriptions. Gray said he would talk with an attorney about challenging a 2006 city ordinance that prohibits medical pot dispensaries.
