UK: Witham: Police shut down cannabis factory

POLICE have shut down a cannabis factory after discovering more than 100 plants.

Officers searched a property on Swan Vale Industrial Estate in Witham today and found 118 cannabis plants being grown.

No one has been arrested but Essex Police are continuing their inquiries.

Pc Simon Butters said: "When we got inside we discovered a purpose built cannabis factory with full hydroponics set up built into the unit itself.

"The message has to be if we find out criminals are cultivating cannabis in Essex, we'll come after you."
