US: Pot expo with smoking zone gets under way

ANAHEIM – The Kush Expo got underway Friday evening at the Anaheim Convention Center with hundreds of marijuana supporters checking out the latest in medical cannabis, while surrounded by loud music and plenty of scantily clad women helping hawk pot-related products.

The expo also includes a smoking patio, where card-carrying medical marijuana patients can openly smoke pot just outside the convention hall.

"We are really serving two crowds here," said Jeff Bernstein, one of the event promoters, along with his son Jon. "We are serving the medical-marijuana users who want to know more about the product and those who support recreational use and feel it should be legal."
