US: Woman arrested for drug paraphernalia

Canton Daily Ledger

Sunday 17 Jul 2011

A local woman was arrested by Canton police for unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia following a traffic stop late Wednesday, July 13 in the area of Ash Street and 11th Avenue.

Officers on patrol observed a 1996 Mercury passenger car at Fifth Avenue and Locust Street traveling east on Locust with a taillight not functioning. The car was stopped at 11:44 p.m. at Ash and 11th.

Trinity Crotzer, 22, of Canton, was the driver. During the stop, police detected the odor of burnt cannabis coming from the interior of the vehicle. She gave verbal consent for a search of the vehicle. A glass hitter pipe used for smoking cannabis was found.

Crotzer was subsequently placed under arrest, taken to the police department, processed, issued a notice to appear in court at a later date, and released from custody.
