Police find six cannabis plants at house in Aberdeen

A MAN has admitted growing cannabis plants at his Aberdeen home to help him sleep.

Andrew Biddle pleaded guilty at Aberdeen Sheriff Court to being concerned in the supply of the class B drug.

The 38-year-old said he had been cultivating the drug at his Aberdeen home as it helped him sleep.

Biddle said he had no intention of selling it on to anyone else.

When police attended his house, which was listed in Aberdeen Sheriff Court papers as 20 Kidd Street, Aberdeen, due to a report of a disturbance, they discovered six cannabis plants worth £100 each.

Biddle had his sentence deferred until later this month for reports.
