Scotland: Granny caught bringing £6,000 of cannabis into isles jailed

A Liverpool granny caught trafficking £6,000 of cannabis into the Western Isles in shopping bags was jailed for one year yesterday.

Marion Glennon, 43, pleaded guilty to supplying cannabis resin.

Stornoway Sheriff Court heard police were waiting for her coming off the ferry at Stornoway at lunchtime on Friday, September 17, last year.

Fiscal David Teale said officers received a tip-off she was travelling through Ullapool for Lewis.
