Bulgarian police uproot field of cannabis

Pernik. The police in the southwestern Bulgarian municipality of Pernik have uprooted a field of cannabis, Pernik District Police Directorate announced.
They uprooted and seized 74 stalks of cannabis from a yard and woodland in the village of Staro Selo. The two private properties were used by a 37-year-old man.

On a piece of land owned by a 62-year-old man from the town of Pernik the police found a greenhouse with five stalks of cannabis. The owner's 36-year-old son frequently visited the property.

Pre-trial proceedings were opened in the two cases.
