The plants were found at a flat in Edinburgh and officers are searching for the people who were growing them.

More than £90,000 worth of cannabis has been found after a flat was raided in Edinburgh.

Officers searched the property on Broughton Road after a tip-off from a member of public. They found over 300 plants worth around £91,000 and various items for cultivating the drugs.

Lothian and Borders Police are now looking for the people responsible for the plants.

A police spokesman said: "Intelligence has once again played a vital part in helping officers identify a cannabis cultivation and prevent a large quantity of drugs from being distributed into our communities.

"Officers continue to engage with the public and gather information on those involved in the drugs trade to bring them to justice.

"We thank our communities for their continued assistance and urge anyone with information relating to drugs in their local area to come forward to police."
