UK: Cannabis cannot be obtained for medicinal purposes on Island, says DASH
3FM Isle of Man Wednesday 21 Sep 2011 Its been revealed that a number of cannabis users on the Isle of Man hold the belief that the substance can be obtained through medical prescription. Drugs Advice Service and Helpline, DASH, have said they've been contacted by a number of people who have been told by other users they got their cannabis for medical reasons from their GP. After speaking to the head of the GP service DASH says this is simply not the case. Cannabis is not available through prescription anywhere in the UK. Shelley Stanley from DASH has said anyone claiming to have obtained their drugs from their GP is lying and they would have had to go down the same illegal channels as anyone else. http://www.three.fm/news/isle-of-man-news/cannabis-cannot-be-obtained-for-medicinal-purposes-on-island-says-dash-4233/
