US: 10 Year Sentence for Marijuana Dealer
WIFR.com Friday 21 Oct 2011 ROCKFORD (WIFR) -- Freddie Ware, 33, has been sentenced to 10 years in the Illinois Department of Corrections. Ware was found guilty of “Possession With Intent To Deliver Cannabis 30-500 grams” after a jury trial on February 18. On November 3, 2009 members of the Rockford Police Department Narcotics Unit executed a search warrant at an apartment at 1216 Revell Avenue, west apartment. During the search the Narcotics Unit located Ware along with approximately 84 grams of a green leafy substance packaged in small zip lock packets which field tested positive for the probable presence of cannabis. Also found in the residence were scales and $690 in cash. Possession with Intent to Deliver Cannabis 30-500 grams is a Class 3 Felony with a sentencing range of 2-10 years in the Illinois Department of Corrections or probation.
