US: Medical pot dispensary busted for illegal sales
KTVB Saturday 05 Nov 2011 Washington County Sgt. Dave Thompson said the Serene Dreams dispensary was not selling to named patients of Oregon Medical Marijuana Program and selling for higher cost than justified for materials and equipment. It was the second dispensary busted in the state. "There are numerous dispensaries that open in the metro area and the only two that have search warrants executed are this one and the Wake and Bake Cannabis Lounge in Aloha, which is now closed," Thompson said. One medical marijuana patient who regularly fills his prescription at Serene Dreams told KGW he's never had a problem with the place and said it helped him recover from serious health issues. "Before I found these guys I wouldn't leave the house and I do now," said David Skillicorn. "So they've been the miracle I was looking for." The owners of the business are 53-year-old Terry Lee Spaunhorst and 52-year-old Paula Lynn Swanson from Vernonia. No charges or arrests have yet been announced. http://www.ktvb.com/news/regional/133301328.html
