A 34-year-old British man living in Gozo yesterday admitted to the possession of around a kilogram of cannabis, in circumstances which indicated that it was not for his personal use, back in July, 2006.

A number of cannabis plants were found in his apartment in G?ajnsielem. He pleaded guilty to charges of importation, possession which was not for his personal use, the intention of trafficking and trafficking on 19 July, 2006.

He will be sentenced on Thursday. Lawyer Kenneth Grima is appearing for Holmes and the prosecution is led by lawyer Nadine Sant from the Attorney General's office.
