UK: I've smoked drugs since I was eight
Blackpool Gazette Tuesday 29 Nov 2011 Sonny Dickson made the confession after magistrates heard police had found small bags of cannabis concealed in a crisps box when they raided his home. Dickson, a 22-year-old plasterer, of Fairway Road, Marton, Blackpool, pleaded guilty to illegal possession of cannabis. He was fined £240 with £85 costs and ordered to pay the £15 victims' surcharge by Blackpool magistrates. Keith Kirkham, prosecuting, said how, on October 18 at lunchtime, police carried out a drugs search warrant at Dickson’s home. Officers found nine sandwich bags containing cannabis in a crisps box and another nine snap bags of the same class B drug elsewhere in the property. A cannabis grinder and scales were also discovered. When interviewed Dickson told police he bought cannabis in some quantity and divided it up into small bags so he did not smoke too much of the drug. Dickson told magistrates: "I started smoking cannabis when I was very, very young. I have smoked it since I was eight. I'm very sorry." http://www.blackpoolgazette.co.uk/news/local/i_ve_smoked_drugs_since_i_was_eight_1_4012429
