Malaysia: Man to hang for drug trafficking

ALOR SETAR: The High Court here sentenced a 39-year-old unemployed man to death for trafficking in 1.059kg of cannabis.

Md Nazli Sahid @ Said was calm when Judicial Commissioner Datuk Zakiah Kassim delivered the verdict.

She said the defence had failed to raise reasonable doubt in the prosecution’s case.

Md Nazli committed the offence at a house in Taman Seri Hartamas, Mergong, at about 10pm on Dec 24 last year.

He was charged under Section 39b(1)(a) of the Dangerous Drugs Act 1952.
