US: Free Medical Pot Giveaway In Medford Bryan Navarro Newswatch12 Wednesday 11 Jan 2012 At the Southern Oregon Cannabis Community Center, it was a chance for them to get some of that back from people who were giving back. The Drug Enforcement Administration raids conducted in the fall of last year have left 300 patients without medicine. Donations came from growers who were looking to get under the legal limit, one and a half pounds per patient. The victims came by and were handed their individually wrapped bag of medicine, each weighing about half an ounce. Patients said that will only last a couple of days, but it'll have to do. One grower who was raided says the buds he picked up at the giveaway are quality medical marijuana. Not just anyone can grab the goods. Patients had to show their current medical marijuana program cards and their names were cross-checked against a list of the registered patients at each grow site. If their name was not on the list, they did not get medicine. http://kdrv.com/page/236233
