Malaysia: Nigerian charged with trafficking cannabis
New Straits Times Wednesday 01 Feb 2012 Pius Emmanual David, 25, was charged under Section 39B(1)(A) of the Dangerous Drugs Act 1952, which carries a mandatory death penalty upon conviction. He is alleged to have committed the offence at about 9.15pm on Jan 25. However, no plea was recorded. Magistrate Mohd Khairul Hafizuddin Ramli fixed March 26 for remention pending the chemist's report. David, who was represented by lawyer, K.T. Jayaraj, was denied bail.
