UK: Police warn cannabis smokers during flat raid

Three people have received drugs warnings, after a police raid in Romsey.

Officers executed a warrant at a flat in Banning Street on Saturday night - and a 22-year-old woman, 23-year-old man and 54-year-old man were found with cannabis.

The formal warning will go on their criminal record and if they receive further warnings they will be prosecuted.

Inspector Jackie Willson, who was in charge of the operation, said: "This is sending out a message that we take a zero tolerance approach to the misuse of drugs.

"It is also for the reassurance of the local community that we deal with anti-social behaviour on our estates."
