The Bunbury Mail

Sydney Morning Herald

Thursday 22 Mar 2012

More than 200 cannibis plants were seized by police near Harvey's Logue Brook Dam yesterday, after the Harvey and Yarloop police and the Organised Crime Squad executed warrants on three properties in Collie.

On information gained from the warrants, police searched an area near Logue Brook Dam and found 202 cannabis plants growing in a bush crop.

The crop was mature with an average height of 2 metres.

The plants were removed via police helicopter as there was limited ground access to the area.

Two Collie men, aged 49 and 31, were charged with cultivating cannabis.

Both men appeared in the Bunbury Magistrate's Court today.
