US: MURRIETA: Judge grants eviction of marijuana collective

A medical marijuana storefront was ordered to leave an industrial park in Murrieta this week after the property owner sought an eviction.

Greenhouse Cannabis Club must leave the building on Jefferson Avenue, Riverside Superior Court Judge Larrie R. Brainard ruled on Monday, according to Murrieta Deputy City Attorney Bob Mahlowitz.

The property owner, Ken Carter, is being fined thousands of dollars per day by Murrieta for violating the city's moratorium on marijuana dispensaries, Mahlowitz said.

Attorneys for the property owner and the collective could not be reached on Tuesday.
