US: CONNECTICUT JUST LEGALIZED MEDICAL MARIJUANA Jamey Curt Jamey Curt Thursday 03 May 2012 Yesterday, the House of Representatives in Connecticut passed a bill 96-51 to legalize marijuana for medical purposes and distrubtion by pharmacists. It would be prescribed by a physician, and grown by cultivators licensed by the state. While it may not be as lenient as similar laws in states such as California or Colorado, the legalization of medical marijuana in Connecticut is a sign that the process of legalization may not take as long as we once thought. With the addition of the new state, there are a total of 17 states (and Washington D.C.) that have legalized marijuana for medical use. On a side note, can New York get medical already? We're now the last one left in the tri-state pretending this is a drug and not a bag of medicine (a medicine that makes everything rule), and it’d be a load off if cops could step the fuck back and stop hassling my dealer on the subway with their bag search folding tables. http://jameycurt.com/?p=7311
