Canada: Global Marijuana March takes over Toronto streets

Pot activists took to the streets of Toronto Saturday, as part of the 14th annual Global Marijuana March.

Estimates say around 2,000 people are taking part in the event, which began at Yonge and Wellesley Streets.

From there the rally marched along, ending up at the lawn of Queen’s Park.

Police tell CityNews the event has been peaceful thus far.

The Toronto event is one of more than 100 marches in cities across the globe, for cannabis enthusiasts and those in support of legalization.
