UK: Cannabis plants recovered from Worthing home

A 63-YEAR-OLD woman was arrested at an address in Worthing yesterday (Wednesday, May 9) on suspicion of cultivating cannabis.

Police were called to an address in Surrey Street just before 9pm following a report of a disturbance.

As a result of the call, information was received that cannabis plants were being grown inside the property. A warrant was obtained under the Misuse of Drugs Act, and officers entered the house, recovering approximately 60 plants.

The woman, who is said to be from Worthing, was arrested and remains in police custody.
