UK: Man accused of dealing drugs sent to crown court

Jarrow and Hebburn Gazette

Monday 28 May 2012

A MAN accused of being a drug dealer is to have his case dealt with at crown court.

Stephen Lindsay is said to have been found with 612g of cannabis and 455g of cocaine.

The 23-year-old appeared at South Tyneside Magistrates’ Court facing charges of possessing Class A and Class B drugs with intent to supply, and driving without a licence or insurance.

Lindsay, of Galsworthy Road, South Shields, entered no pleas and, due to the serious nature of the allegations, the cases must be dealt with at Newcastle Crown Court.

He is to appear there on June 8. He was granted unconditional bail.
