Malta: Rabat man jailed for trafficking cannabis

A 34-year-old man from Rabat was this afternoon jailed for seven years and fined €5,000 after he pleaded guilty to trafficking and cultivating cannabis.

Carmel Micallef also pleaded guilty to aggravated possession of the drug.

The police said earlier today he was found in possession of a considerable amount of cannabis

More grass and resin were later found in a property he had access to and a number of cannabis plants were found at his residence.
