A controversy over marijuana use in Palau
Radio Australia Tuesday 10 Jul 2012 According to the report a quarter of adults in Palau use cannabis, ten per cent higher than the second country on the list, Italy. The results have been controversial however, because while representing adult usage, those surveyed were students in Palau's only public high school. The survey showed sixty per cent of the student respondents have used the drug and forty per cent say they used it in the last month. Emery Wenty, Director of Education for the Bureau of Education in Palau, spoke to Matt Dawson, saying he believes the UN has overestimated the issue in Palau.
