UK: Fined after drugs found in a vase (2.07 grms cannabis)

Police who searched an address on Winster Grove in Buxton found a small quantity of cannabis, in a vase, a court heard.

Andrew Robert Bradley, 34, admitted being in possession of 2.07 grams of cannabis worth about £20, when he appeared before High Peak magistrates on Monday.

John Richards defending said the offence dated back to October 26 and questioned why it had taken so long to get to court.

He said Bradley had beaten an amphetamine habit and no longer smoked cannabis.

The court was told the charge followed a lengthy police investigation into a number of people.

Bradley was ordered to pay a fine, costs and surcharge totalling £129.

An order was made for the forfeiture and destruction of the drugs.
