India: 2,500 kg cannabis seized in Andhra Pradesh over one week

Visakhapatnam: Police have seized 2,500 kgs of ganja (cannabis) in the Agency area of Vishakhapatnam district and arrested 33 persons in the raids conducted over the last one week.

The crack-down on ganja trafficking led to seizure of two cars, a van, a lorry, and three motor-bikes, a police statement here said.

The market value of seized cannabis was said to be around Rs. 1 crore.
