Ireland: City dealer caught with €60,000 cannabis haul gets 12 years Frank Farragher Connacht Sentinel, Galway News Tuesday 24 Jul 2012 The longest sentence imposed was 12 years – with the final five years suspended – on Alan Ward (27), St Finbarr's Terrace, Bohermore. He had been convicted of having cannabis – valued in the region of €60,000 for sale or supply – at Oranmore on December 6, 2010 last. Anthony Hayes (28), from Verdant Crescent, King’s Island, Limerick, received a seven year sentence at the same hearing on Friday, with the final four years suspended. He was convicted of having cannabis in his possession for sale or supply, on December 6, 2010, also at Oranmore. A third man – David Wilson of no fixed abode, but with a former address of CastlelawnHeights, Headford Road – received a five year sentence from Judge Pauline Codd, with the final three years suspended. Wilson was also convicted of having cannabis in his possession for sale or supply at Oranmore on December 6, 2010.
