UK: Waltham Cross drug dealer handed suspended sentence

A CANNABIS dealer operating in Waltham Cross has been given a suspended sentence in court.

LawDaljeet Singh Potiwal, 26, was arrested on September 24 in possession of 23.83g of herbal cannabis with intent to supply, magistrates in Stevenage heard on Wednesday July 18.

He had denied the charge but was found guilty at an earlier hearing, and admitted a further charge of possession of cannabis on the same date.

The court heard he had a "significant role" in supplying drugs to users at street level.

Potiwal, of Bullsmore Lane, Enfield was handed a 26 week sentence suspended for 12 months and a four month curfew between 9pm and 7am.

He was also ordered to pay costs of £620 and carry out 150 hours unpaid work.
