UK: Large Drug Seizure In Guernsey

More than 200 thousand pounds worth of drugs has been seized in Guernsey this week.

The drugs, thought to be cannabis resin, were brought into the island onboard a boat from Poole.

51 year old Colleen Kelly was arrested when she arrived into St Peter Port Harbour on Sunday - with more than £200,000 worth of drugs.

Following further investigations 52 year old Stephen Risbridger was also arrested at a local bar.

Both appeared before Guernsey's Magistrates court earlier this week charged with the importation of cannabis resin and cocaine.

They have been remanded in custody until the 7th August.
