Lebanon: ISF destroys 600 dunums of Cannabis fields

The Internal Security Forces Wednesday eradicated 600 dunums of cannabis fields in the Bekaa and another 105 dunums in the Soueidiye region in north Lebanon.

In a statement Wednesday, the director general of the ISF said the Central Drug Control Office, in collaboration with the judicial police and the Army, succeeded in destroying the cannabis fields in different parts of Lebanon.

The statement added that the total area of cannabis fields eradicated in the Bekaa reached 5,650 dunums and 265 dunums in the north.

It said the ISF will continue efforts to eradicate all cannabis fields.
