Australia: Vehicle search allegedly nets 2kg of cannabis

More than 2kg of compressed cannabis was allegedly seized by police last week, following a vehicle search in Watson.

Police pulled the vehicle over on the Federal highway near the Antill St intersection and executed a search warrant at about 3pm last Friday.

It’s alleged officers found about 2kg of compressed cannabis during the search, after which the vehicle was seized and taken to the Exhibit Management Centre.

The 27-year-old driver of the vehicle and his 24-year-old male passenger were taken to City Police Station.

Police are waiting on the results of forensic tests before laying charges.
