US: Belgrade marijuana dispensary owners plead guilty in federal court
KBZK.com Wednesday 08 Aug 2012 Randy and Stephanie Leibenguth pleaded guilty to the charges in federal court in Helena on Wednesday. According to the U.S. Attorney's Office, the Leibenguths owned Montana Cannabis Ministry/Montanans Cultivating Medicine (MCM) and, along with another person, owned Happy Acres, a grow operation. On March 14, 2011, law enforcement seized 539 marijuana plants from the Leibenguths at 32 Dollar Drive and 892 marijuana plants from their former business partner at 34 Dollar Drive. MCM also had other marijuana products, including edibles, lotions, lipbalms, oils and soaps. According to bank records, MCM supplied marijuana to two other marijuana distributors, the U.S. Attorney's Office says. Sentencing is set for Nov. 9. They each face possible penalties of a mandatory minimum of 5 years and could be sentenced to 40 years, a $2 million fine, and 4 years supervised release.
