UK: Nine held in police cannabis swoop Tom Sharpe Rotherham Advertiser Friday 10 Aug 2012 Seventy police officers and PCSOs were involved in the operation in Edlington on Tuesday. Six men and three women, all from Edlington, were arrested on suspicion of the production of cannabis and possession with intent to supply. A total of one hundred and thirty cannabis plants and other controlled drugs were recovered with an estimated street value of £80,000. Det Con Mary O'Shea, who led the operation, said: "This operation was planned around suspected organised criminals who were thought to be involved in the large scale production and supply of cannabis. "Police in Doncaster prioritise this type of crime and will tackle those responsible.
