Ireland: Man held over Nenagh drug seizure

A man in his 30s has been arrested after gardaí seized a large quantity of cannabis plants in Co Tipperary.

Members of the National Drugs Unit backed up by local gardaí carried out a search of a premises at Moanfin near Nenagh yesterday evening as part of an ongoing investigation into the sale and supply of drugs in the area.

Up to 800 plants worth an estimated €640,000 were recovered in the raid.

The man is being held at Templemore Garda station under Section 2 of the Criminal Justice Act.
