Northern Ireland: Five to appear in court over drugs charges

Five men will appear in court on Saturday in connection with drugs offences relating to the seizure of £600,000 worth of cannabis in Carrickfergus.

The men aged between 41 and 65 face charges including importing, possesion and conspiracy to supply the class B drug.

The men were arrested in Carrickfergus on Thursday and taken to Antrim Police Station for questioning.

They are due to appear at Belfast Magistrates Court.

A 32-year-old man who was also arrested has been released on police bail, pending further inquiries.
