UK: Cannabis plants found in marshes at Surlingham

Evening News, Norwich

Tuesday 14 Aug 2012

Officers were contacted by a member of the public on Friday, August 3 after they had discovered the plants growing in compost close to the riverbank.

Broads Beat officers seized the plants and are appealing to anyone with information to come forward.

This is the second find on the Broads this year after 60 small cannabis plants were found at Ranworth Broad in small area off the River Bure on June 6.

PC Paul Bassham said: "Given these are very remote locations we rely on the public to be vigilant and report anything out of the ordinary. If something doesn't look right, it probably isn't so please report anything suspicious, no matter how minor to police."
