Spain: Three Irish people arrested in Spain after €6m of cannabis found on boat

TWO Irish men and a woman have been held in Spain after an estimated €6m worth of cannabis was found on an Irish registered ship.

A total of 500 kilos of the drug was discovered when authorities boarded it off the Spanish coast.

It is understood to have travelled from Morocco.

The three people who were arrested following investigations on the mainland are believed to be from Cork. Gardaí are assisting Spanish Police with their enquiries.
